Job Responsibilities

Database engineering and platform development across large database estates (Sybase/DB2 and newer platforms).
Performance tuning and optimization (query optimization, indexing strategies, workload analysis, capacity planning).
Design, testing, and implementation of database changes with a focus on resiliency and quality.
Participation in platform migration initiatives (including modernization toward Snowflake and/or SingleStore where applicable).
Version upgrades, patching, and operational readiness improvements.
Development and distribution on cloud platforms, including automation and standardization.
Work in a fast-paced Agile environment where time-to-market is key without compromising stability and control.

Intermediate knowledge of development and performance optimization on major RDBMS technologies (e.g., Sybase, DB2; plus, exposure/interest in Snowflake/SingleStore is a plus).
Strong scripting skills, especially Python (automation, tooling, diagnostics, data utilities).
Basic knowledge of Unix/Linux operating systems.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
